Pulmonary Embolism
A condition where a blood clot (usually from a deep vein thrombosis) travels through the heart and lodges in the small vessels of the lung causing respiratory distress. This is a serious condition usually requiring hospitalization and blood thinner medication. Varicose Veins do not usually cause this.
