If I have an ulcer or skin discoloration, will it improve after treatment?

Most patients will see improvement in stasis dermatitis and healing of ulcers if the contributing varicose veins are eliminated. This usually requires quite a bit of time (up to 12 months). Additional diseases such as diabetes, atherosclerosis, skin infections, and obesity may prevent complete healing.
