Can I have my Varicose Veins treated during my pregnancy?
This is not usually recommended as many of the veins may return to normal following delivery. There is always a concern surrounding safety to the fetus regarding some of the chemicals used for injection therapy and for anesthesia. That said, there are some veins that are incredibly painful during pregnancy and could be treated using techniques requiring only local anesthetic such as ambulatory phlebectomy.
